I believe that religion should not be incorporated into politics.  Religion is a choice that the people make based on how they are raised, what they were taught, and how they perceive the world to be.  Government is what protects our rights as citizens.  It is our safety, not our savior.
When religion is brought into politics, conflict arises.  People feel as if they are being subjugated and discriminated against by society because Bush believes this way or Perry believes in another.  I personally feel, when Bush states that he is a Good Christian Man, that Christianity is a must in Government. So what if the Nation was found 'Under God?' Our Nation was also founded under the principles of ruling ourselves because we were being ruled by a King who was playing tyrannical tricks to decrease his debt with other nations.  We felt that we were being wrongly denied our personal presence in their government and wrongly denied our right to speak in our behalf.
The people of America cry out against Government, accusing one or the other for any wrong doing. Say, if you must, that we are corrupted. We can never take responsibility for our actions and take charge for what needs to be done.  Why give us another reason to judge people by incorporating religion into politics?
I wrote this as an essay for Technology Systems. It was a practice to do our keyboarding skills. (Like I needed it) But I thought it turned out pretty well. Tell me what you guys think, K? It's my first time trying to do something like this, or at least allowing people to read it. Maybe it might be something else that I'll add to my list of refining? Hmm?

I try to stay out of political conversations personally ^_^ but approaching this from a stylistic perspective leave off the "I believe" at the beginning, "I think" "I believe" "in my opinion" those sorts of things all detract from the power of a persuasive or really any sort of essay. Using "I believe" can be somewhat of a copout in writing, as if the writer is thinking to much "Oh I have to let them know that this is just my belief and they're allowed to have a different one" they'll disagree if they disagree, so say it like you really believe it!
